What a $150-a-month website actually includes (and what it doesn't)

When a business owner hears “$150 a month for a website,” the first question is usually “what’s the catch?” Fair question. Here’s the whole thing, no fine print: what’s included, what costs extra, and the terms.

What’s included for $150 a month

• A custom 5-page site. Home, About, Services, Gallery or Testimonials, and Contact. You pick one of our starting designs, and we hand-code it with your logo, colors, photos and services.
• The copy. You answer a short questionnaire and send photos of your work. We write the words.
• Hosting. Nothing to set up and nothing extra to pay.
• Unlimited edits. Text, photo and minor layout changes. Send a request through our edit form and it’s done within 3 business days.
• A 24/7 line for site-down emergencies. If your site goes down, call any time. Everything else is answered the next business day.
• A free logo if you don’t have one. It’s yours to keep.
• Your domain, in your name. We buy it, manage it and pay the renewals while we host your site.

There’s no setup fee. You pay $0 down.

What costs extra

Some things are extras on purpose, so the base price stays low for the businesses that don’t need them:

• Extra pages: $100 each, one-time. For example, a page for each service or each town you work in.
• Add-ons: $25 a month each. A blog, local SEO on your service pages, or local SEO on your service-area pages.

We don’t offer email services, so your business email stays with whoever you use now.

The terms

The monthly plan has a 6-month minimum. After that it’s month-to-month, and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. Hosting stops on your cancellation date, and we transfer your domain to you within 15 business days.

On the monthly plan, the domain is yours to keep. The site, code and the copy we wrote stay with us, unless you buy the site out for a flat $3,800. Monthly payments don’t count toward the buyout.

Would you rather own it outright?

There’s a one-time option: $3,800 for the same 5-page site, paid $1,900 at signing and $1,900 before launch. It’s yours once it’s paid in full. You get the copywriting, two rounds of changes before launch, 30 days of free fixes for anything we got wrong, the domain, and a free logo if you need one.

After launch, edits on that plan are $25 an hour (1-hour minimum). You can host it yourself, or we host it for $25 a month.

Which one fits?

If you’d rather not put money down and you want someone else to handle changes, the monthly plan is simpler. If you’d rather pay once and own the site, the one-time plan costs less over a few years. Either way it’s the same site.
